At 9:58 a.m. on November 5, 2022, Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical officially commenced construction of its?project to produce high-performance carbon black with 70,000 tons/year of petrochemical residue oil. The products associated with this project include carbon black for rubber and special carbon black, which will provide better and more diversified products for the downstream carbon black industry and lay a solid foundation for the industrial transformation and upgrading of Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical.?It will facilitate the company’s adherence?to the supremacy of science and allow it to?continue to improve the industrial chain after the integration of the refining and chemical industries.?The project will further reduce the output ratio of refined oil products and increase the ratio of chemical products, develop high-end chemicals and new chemical materials. In implementing this project, Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical will?continue to carry out scientific and technological innovation and research and development, improve the integrated mechanism of research, production,?and marketing, and develop new grades of high-value-added?polyolefins and other products. The project will also?allow the company to acquire new chemical material technologies with independent intellectual property rights and support the high-quality and sustainable development of Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemicals with new technologies.
