With a view to earnestly following Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and echoing?with the keynote of the 7^th?Central Symposium on Tibet Work, on September 23, 2020, on behalf of the Party Committee of?Sinochem Energy,?a delegation, headed by Mr. Han?Bing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Sinochem Energy, carried out field survey and gave instructions for Gamba County, Tibet, a designated assistance county of Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd. The delegation members successively paid a visit to Gamba County Industrial Poverty Alleviation Tourism Practice Base, Florists Chrysould Likehemum Planting Base, Jiru village and other places, learned about renovation and construction situations of village-level organization activity venue, clinic and farmers’ kitchen, gave greetings to local poverty-stricken villagers and cadres sent to aid Tibet, and donated RMB1 million to Jiru Village, “The First Village on the Sino-Indian Border” in Gamba County. This donation was earmarked for the reconstruction project of the village-level medical station and the construction project of “One Hundred Houses and One Hundred Kitchens”.

The delegation members obtained information about the operation, skills training and employment of Gamba County Industrial Poverty Alleviation Tourism Practice Base since its delivery, reviewed the borrowing records of Gamba County Youth Library, and learned about the reading room facilities and the local children’s reading profile. At Florists Chrysould Likehemum Planting Base, the delegation members conducted in-depth exchanges with a number of farmers to gain insights into the specific progress of this planting base project.

To help win tough battle against poverty and build a well-off society in an all-round way, under the overall guideline of “Building Beautiful Border Towns” in Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd., Sinochem Energy donated another RMB1 million in addition to the abovementioned donation by Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd., in an effort to help Jiru Village propel industrial development and improve infrastructures. Among them, RMB500,000 is earmarked for the construction project of “One Hundred Houses and One Hundred Kitchens”, and the remaining RMB500,000 is earmarked for the construction of Jiru Village Medical Care and Health Center. Donation Ceremony was held in Jiru Village with reputation of “The First Village on the Sino-Indian Border”. Mr. Han?Bing and Mr. Zhou?Hailang, Secretary of the CPC?Gamba County?Committee, delivered speeches, respectively. According to Mr. Han?Bing, Sinochem Energy will work with the CPC?Gamba County?Committee, Gamba County Government and Tibetans of Jiru Village to spare no effort for “Building Beautiful Border Towns” in a practical and favorable manner. Sinochem Energy will strive to?break new ground in the economic and social development of Jiru Village, and help Tibetans live a more affluent and happier life.
